Brief History
The North East Kenya Field (NEKF) is a part of East Kenya Union Conference in the East-Central Africa Division of Seventh-day Adventists. The East Kenya Union Conference consists of; East Nairobi Field, Kenya Coast Field, North East Kenya Field, South East Kenya Field, South Nairobi Kajiado Field, South Rift Valley Field, and West Nyamira Field. Formerly part of Central Kenya Conference, NEFK was organized in 2020. Its headquarters is in Meru, Kenya. NEKF covers the counties of Kirinyaga, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Isiolo, Marsabit, and a portion of Samburu.
As per June 30th 2021, the online statistics the field has 380 Churches, 24,343 membership and a population of 3,782,969.
Institutions
The Gatumbi SDA dispensary in Kirinyaga is under the North East Kenya Field. It is a level 2 dispensary providing healthcare services to people within the environs.
